Alex, You certainly have courage. I definitely am more twisted and have a larger hump, but to this day I could not post photos. I admire your courage because it is important for others to know what we are talking about. Your photos and Mark's should give some of the people pause. This scoliosis thing is serious business and if there is no treatment the disease can ruin our preset and future. Thanks Alex!

I have never had surgery or bracing so I now am on full time oxygen and use a Non Invasive Ventilator at night. at night.

Thanks to you my dear friend. It's for this reason that i've uploaded my pics!...so that others could to see and to know. I'm 48 y.o. but i've a severe hyperkyphosis and an evident hump that is in aggravation. I'm legally disabled for my severe flat feet yet. I've an acute chronic plantar fasciitis that makes me unable also only to walk.
Thank you very much. Your words give me many power!!!...upload some my feet pics to show how flat they are!!!...thank you,
Alex

Hi Ange,
oh yeah, i'm under an orthopaedic and a physiotherapist. I'm doing many physical therapies. Ultrasound therapy, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator), physiotherapy for feet and spine.
For my feet there's no many other to do. For spine i might have surgery because my kyphosis is getting worse quickly but i've severe diabetes and severe hypertension that could make surgery many more risky. I take in many medicines every day. I hope to have some relief with these rehabilitations!!!...Thank you.

Hi,

Sorry to hear, sounds really hard. How well is ur diabetes controlled? Besides the medications do they have u on a diet and exercise programme? In case surgery becomes necessary it will be best with as much physical fitness as u can manage.

I made sure I got my cholesterol down as far as possible from high to moderate ybefore surgery by lots of exercise and a strict diet.

Hi,
my diabetes is controlled by medications and diet but the other big problem is severe hypertension...i must take in 5 different medications to control it every day.
I don't know if it'll be ever possible to be operated because i've osteoporosis too...it's for this problem too that my kyphosis is in progressive aggravation.

Hi Alex

As Gilly says, I really hope we can help with the friendship side of things, we certainly know what you are going through, just wanted to let you know I am thinking about you and the internet makes the world seem less lonely and less large

Thanks to everyone. You are all special persons...i feel less alone certainly.
Now i have another severe problem to my feet. i'm losing sensitivity to my soles and doctors think i could have a neuropathy from diabetes. They suspect i could have Charcot foot disease. Tomorrow i'll do an electromyography to my legs and feet.
