Default Newbie - upcoming surgery

Hello, everyone! I've been lurking here for a while, and thought it was about time for an intro. My son, Joshua (age 16) has severe kyphosis (115 degrees), and will be undergoing spinal fusion surgery in two days, on Wed Dec 28, with Dr. Peter Newton in San Diego, CA. We have appreciated reading all your postings and have learned a lot. We especially enjoyed Dave's videos; they were very encouraging, and we hope Joshua's surgery and recovery goes as well as his!
