It's always a bit of a shock when you first see your X-rays, it's a lot to take in isn't it? It sounds as though you are in good hands though and there's a heck of a lot to be said for that. Between now and January appointment I would suggest getting a notebook and jotting down all the things you want to ask. I always do this, plus I leave a gap after each question so that I can quickly scribble down his answers, otherwise I'd forget them by the time I get home
