    Question Swap Shop

This occurred to me when I was posting about the swivel seat I no longer need in the transport thread... I also have a really good book about the surgery, and a grabber that I don't need.

Louisse is taking the seat, but I thought if maybe anyone wanted the other two items then perhaps they could be forwarded on as needed once they're no longer required, and anyone else with redundant aids could join in.

Might help save people some money as all this stuff we buy for our poor spines does add up!!

Toni, if no-one has requested the DVD I would love it! Been looking into doing yoga and haven't found anything.

I have a couple of bits and pieces at home - but I'm at work and can't remember the proper names so will post later.

I think this is a brilliant idea GC

I wonder if it would be worth it being made into a sticky at the top of the forum so that everyone can find it easily and check what's out there?

I didn't actually buy any special aids although I did have the loan of a bath board and my mate leant me a tiny camping kettle - just big enough for my cuppa and easy for me to lift as it wasn't too heavy when full of water

Pity I missed the yoga for scoliosis DVD though, but never mind!

Great Idea GC! I'd love the grabber if it's not too cumbersome to post.....

Thanks for the responses glad you like the idea!

Phoenix, I shall experiment with wrapping the grabber up but I think if I take apart a cardboard box and fold it around then wrap in brownpaper it should be fine, PM your address and I'll send it over.

Not sure if these will be of use to anyone but I have a Soxon sock aid (which is apparently great for getting socks on without bending - I could never get the hang of it!) and a long handled shoe horn. Both of which can be seen on the Helping Hand Company website so you get a better idea of what they do.

This is the book Lisa - Scoliosis Surgery

PM your address if you'd like it

Hopefully everything will keep being passed on and we can deprive some of the aids websites/Amazon of their incomes
