    Default CT scan

So all going well, I should be having my CT scan on Thursday morning to check that I'm fusing properly without any issues. From my most recent X-rays, Mr Bernard has said all looks like its fusing well but doesn't want to comment any further until he's seen the scan results. I'm pretty hopeful among all the stress this stupid neck of mine is giving me.

But the real reason for posting this is, im wondering is there something to put your head on? This is because if i lay on a flat surface without support, i cannot do so because of the lack of flexibilityi have within my neck. Also would you say it would be a good idea to phone ahead of this to see if they can put something in place for me?

    Thanks
    Jay

They should have a variety of pillows and wedges available, however it definitely wouldn't hurt to ring ahead and find out as it's possible that they'd need to ensure that nothing gets borrowed that day I can certainly appreciate your worry - although I don't have rigid forward head carriage, I do have other rigid imbalance. They're able to work around it though
Diagnosed at 15 with 50 curve, but probably juvenile IS. Fused in kyphosis (by non-specialised ortho) with a/p surgery T10-L2 @ 21, posterior only revision surgery to correct kyphosis @ 29. Now 38 with further revision surgery and extension of fusion to sacrum required to correct residual kyphosis, restore lordosis and address spinal stenosis.

Well i ran out of time to be able to ring them up. but it wasnt an issue as there was a pillow there as standard, which made things bearable i go in sometime early august to get the results

Cool CTs are generally fairly brief as well, which is always helpful! At least it's not too long to wait for the results, either

Yeah, thats what i like about them. a five minute scan but yeah, not to long, might be brought forward as it should be sooner, but i havent heard anything yet, so it's looking like it will in August.
