    Default Consultant vs Pain Management

My Scoliosis consultant in London did a Spect scan and recommended I try facet injections. I was referred to a Pain Management Clinic locally and the doctor there said my pain was muscular and injections wouldn't help and refused them.

I don't think the doctor had a copy of the spect scan results - but I did tell her about it and she should have listened to me. She said she did not need to know about scoliosis to make a diagnosis.

The scan details a litany of disk failures, stenosis etc.

Last week I was very upset- this week it has turned to anger. I do not want to spend the next apt with the consultant sorting this out as the time is too precious and I need to discuss surgery.

To be honest I want to 'make an example' of the pain doctor as this should not happen.

There is no point in going to my GP- his is amiable but a bit useless...

Just how the heck can she make a call like that having not seen the scan results??!!!
Oh Burdle, I don't know about you but, after all the faffing about you've had, this would be the last straw if it were me

    It is awful.

It's very hard dealing with everything.
