Poor Holly hopefully things will be better this time around, the fact that she will be able to get out of bed soon will hopefully help . I hope surgery has went well today and she wasn't away from you for too long xx

I was put on Oxycodene as Morphine didn't help me although both my 2 staged surgeries were done in one go. Oxycodene seemed to make a little bit of difference for me. Hope it works for her. I hope stage 2 went well and that she's okay x

    Thanks everyone.

The Oxycodene worked well but we had to come off it today, because of a problem with the PVA. It kept breaking down and the fact that it kept beeping every 10mins we thought it would be better to get onto tablets to enable a restful night.

Physio came round today and got Holly out of bed, she sat on the edge of the bed, then managed to stand up and then took two steps to the left. It was a very painful process but the Physio Abbi was an absolute gem!

Yay, she managed to get up. Great news!
The first few times it's hard, but it does get easier.
They built it up for me, couple of steps, end of bed, down the ward a bit, to the end of the ward, once I could make it to the loo my catheter was taken out.
    The physio's are brilliant.
Hope she had a good night rest and manages a few more steps today
    Kerry x

So glad to hear she's through the second stage OK, plus it sounds as though she's having a bit better time of things this time around

We are coming home tomorrow! Woohoo!

Holly has done marvellously. I'm so very proud of her. She's been so brave through all of this. But then she is one tough little lady.
