So, firstly, went to docs yesterday and the new doctor I saw was "horrified" I have had to wait four months for the physio team to contact me. She was very apologetic and wrote another email to the local hospital as she said it's the only way in for x-ray and MRI scans in our PCT.
She also had a good look at my back...touch your toes etc. She said my scoliosis is "significant" but also highlighted that she wasn't an orthopaedic surgeon and I MUST be seen by one. She hinted that surgery may be inevitable but would prefer to wait until later on in life.
I was then phoned by the physio team later in the day and have consultation with NHS ones next week and also booked myself a private ome.
Doctor also recommended a meshed orthopaedic chair at work (that was delivered today ) a curved corner desk (ordered) swimming three times a week and pilates for scoliosis.
She also recommended a new mattress.
Any recommendations? Memory foam is the way i feel.
