    Default Newbie - upcoming surgery

Hello, everyone! I've been lurking here for a while, and thought it was about time for an intro. My son, Joshua (age 16) has severe kyphosis (115 degrees), and will be undergoing spinal fusion surgery in two days, on Wed Dec 28, with Dr. Peter Newton in San Diego, CA. We have appreciated reading all your postings and have learned a lot. We especially enjoyed Dave's videos; they were very encouraging, and we hope Joshua's surgery and recovery goes as well as his!

Juliette, had two surgeries in 2011 age 16, and also a rare complication called Wilkies Syndrome. Currently on the road to recovery and hoping to someday even touch my toes!

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary..." - Steve Jobs
