Re: Surgeon experience

the_trunk: If I may ask... A year ago you were asking for surgery for a 50 degrees curve. Did your curve progress, were you misdiagnosed?

Re: Differences between a 20ish degree thoracic back an a 40ish one? Pictures inside

I'm from Slovenia actually.

To be honest, at this time I have no idea what I will do. I'll see what the doctor says for now.

Re: Differences between a 20ish degree thoracic back an a 40ish one? Pictures inside

I don't know really, the doctor hasn't seen the MRI results yet - I will see him in two weeks. I don't know what he will do... probably nothing. I'm not very active these days, so I'm not in much...

Re: Differences between a 20ish degree thoracic back an a 40ish one? Pictures inside

This is what I got (I've been previously diagnosed with 50 degrees with a kyphometer and 45 degrees from an x-ray by...

Re: Hi everyone! It has been 4 weeks since my surgery!

I wonder what they would do for someone with a moderate kyphosis, if they operated on him. I think Simon was corrected to below 40?

Re: picture of my back

Thanks for the exercises. I was doing something similar, but they didn't do much for me, even though my curves is supposed to be ~45. I wasn't stretching my hamstrings though and I think they're...

Re: picture of my back

Dave: I would like to know what kind of exercises you are doing. I especially want to know about hamstring stretches, as my hamstrings are very tight and I can't bend a lot (only to about 10cm below...

Re: Cheaper alternatives (Surgery)

I wouldn't know about that, it probably depends on individual surgeons.

Just give the site a try, I even got a phone call from the USA :). I was mostly wondering what the price for spinal fusion...

Re: Forward neck syndrome Hey guys

Hello. I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know much on this (almost nothing), but could it be junctional kyphosis?

I've found this picture on google

Re: I am concerned. Do I have kyphosis?

And in my opinion your back looks fine and you don't seem to have a forward head posture. Oh and I'm also a worrier and a neurotic person ;).

Re: I am concerned. Do I have kyphosis?

Hello, I have later been diagnosed with 45 degrees from x-rays, though I don't know how accurate that is, since they were taken when I was lying down and as far as I know, that's not the proper way...

Re: 50 degree Scheurmann's - Surgery?

Ok, I just came home from the visit.. Apparently my kyphosis is 45 degrees, but I also have scoliosis with a double curve of 15 degrees and I'm showing first signs of "degenerative changes," whatever...

Re: 50 degree Scheurmann's - Surgery?

Yeah, that's what I've read about the x rays.. I also run and it's somewhat better when I'm exercising. I also tried NSAIDS (diclofenac), but I don't think they do anything for me and my stomach...

Re: 50 degree Scheurmann's - Surgery?

No, no, don't worry, I wasn't offended. I just don't post here much :). I had x-rays done yesterday, but didn't get results yet. And they took them while I was lying down, to get standing x-rays I...
