Re: Looking for information

Thank you for that. My curve is roughly 90 degrees and located right in the middle of my thoracic spine. I have another thread showing the xrays

Re: Looking for information

I've heard or read somewhere that if the curve is less than 70 degrees then its essentially undetectable by people...is that true? Or am I on crack?

Re: Looking for information

I admittedly feel sort of stupid and superficial for asking these questions. I know, there are much worse things in life to suffer and there will be a reduction if not elimination of pain.....but...

Re: Looking for information

Can I ask you... at 53 degrees, does the curve still stick out? Do you feel comfortable now wearing t-shirts, close fitting clothing? I hope so :)

Looking for information

Hi all,

Just looking for pictures of kyphosis in the 50-60 degree range. Xrays or actual photos would be excellent. My surgeon said he'd be able to bring it down to this range, so I want to have a...

Re: My Before/After XRay Pictures

Yup, just 7 more days left :)

Yah, mine is more mid thoracic which is probably why my fusion will be much shorter than Simons. Mine will only be T4-T12.

Re: Update - 2 year review

I feel like a complete fool as I should know by now, but what was your spinal fusion orginaly for? Scoliosis? Kyphosis? Lordosis? All of the above? None of the above?

Hi ya! Nice to see fellow canucks on the forum! Gilly is right, I'm having surgery in 10 days. The only correction is that my surgeon is Dr. Charles Fisher.

The first step is to get a family...

Re: Which mattress should I get?

Went out today and "test drove" a tempurpedic memory foam mattress and wow! comfortable but man is it pricey! $2400 CND (or about $1200 british pounds)!! Oh well, I guess you can't put a price on a...

Re: Which mattress should I get?

I think I will go with a full mattress instead of a topper - my current bed is really too small for me! I can't even turn over without falling off haha!

Re: My Pictures - how bad is it, and what can i do?

Agree with everyone here. See a specialist first; however, it doesn't look bad enough for surgery. Maybe some phsyio and exercise will help. The procedure is also a big hurt financially in the US if...
