That's rough Jamie.Perhaps someone here with a boston Brace will have some idea of how to stop the brace irritating the underarm area.

Hi Jamie sorry to hear you can't get comfy.I can't offer any tips yet as Ryan is doing his first sleep in his brace on friday night.I'll let you know if he has any advice after that!

Hi Jamie, do you wear a soft t-shirt or undershirt underneath your brace? That can help a lot. It's sometimes possible to trim down the brace underneath your arms too, so it rubs less - maybe you could ask your doctor about this?

i live 8 hours away from my doctor though

I dont no a lot about braces, but maybe an undershirt might help. Sorry to hear that your not sleeping, I will pray for you.

Umm..try wearing an under shirt or T-shirt underneath your brace. Cuz that helped me alot.

definitely wear an an undershirt if you're not already. It really helps. Other than that, just try sleeping on a different side, on your stomach, on your back, just differently from how you normally sleep. Maybe more pillows would help too.

When you see your doctor again for followup, mention this problem to him.
In the meantime, I'm really confused. I didn't know there was any place in California that was 8 hours away from a scoliosis specialist. Where do you live?
