Oh yes we've seen that site before. Utter tosh.

The photographs show the patients standing differently each time....they're all leaning forward, which stretches the spine and pulls it straighter to some degree. #1 has negligible lordosis and I can't see any actual difference in #3 either; it's just that her pants are pulled up further. #2 is obviously leaning forward because her vertebrae are protruding, whereas they are hidden because she is standing up straight in the first pic.

This is why you should never rely on photographs to show how much spinal conditions have been improved by alternative methods (or indeed, conventional methods). Only x-rays show the actual spine.

Yep, I'm with you Simon, makes me really angry too because the people who get taken in by these 'therapies' (and I use the word very loosely here :P ) are often desperate for a solution to chronic pain and are 'easy pickings' for these fraudsters. What worries me even more is when parents of children, naturally keen to avoid seeing them go through possible surgery, get taken in by them and often don't continue to be followed up regularly by a proper spinal specialist, thereby essentially allowing their condition to potentially deteriorate.

A far better solution with youngsters who have small/moderate but progressing curves, would seem to be the Spinecor brace, since it's totally flexible thereby allowing the muscles which support the spine to stay strong and the spine itself to remain flexible, the two main reasons why many consultants don't believe in bracing as the conventional rigid braces don't allow this.
