View Full Version : Good Physios in the North

As some of you will know I am trying to help my scoliosis through physio and exercise. I have a Schroth consultation in a couple of weeks but am also trying to help myself through physio. I have had an appointment with an NHS pysio but although she spent a long time discussing my situation I felt that she didn't really understand my back and so couldn't really give me the correct exercises. I have been doing them though and ever since have had a horrendous pain in my neck and shoulder, and am now worrying that I could be doing myself more damage!

Black Star's recent post has given me some hope that I may find a private physio clinic that would be better. I need somewhere in the north of England - otherwise Black Star's place would be perfect! Is there a directory or can anyone suggest a clinic I could try?

Hi there!

I found this (http://www.physiodirectory.com)

Hope this helps

Finding a good private physio is one of the best things I've ever done. Although, I did have to do a bit of hunting before I found one I was sure knew what they were doing. One that I tried gave me excercises that left me in more pain and that can't be a good thing!

Sorry I can't be more help though. I live in the south!

Good luck!
