Hi, you may remember me from slife, i wos pinksheep there as well, my real name is lottie though and i love sheep which many people think is wierd!!

wen i wos 5 i wos diagnosed with a tethered spinal cord and had a fatty lipoma on the base of my back, if it had been left it could have left me disabled. So i had surgery to detether it, it left me short of nerves and stuff in my left leg so now it is thinner, weaker and 2cms shorter than the other.

When we thought i wos through all that my mum noticed, when i wos 11, that i would always lean to one side and would have uneven shoulders. They took me to the specialist and i wos casted for a brace.I think my curve wos 19 and 30 degrees T12 to L5 and has remained that way. Over the last 3 years i have worn various different braces which has been really hard at school getting changed and stuff.

But now it all seems to be finishing, i wos signed of the great ormond street hospital cos it is unlikely that my spine will rether and HOPEFULLY in feburary i will no longer have to wear a brace! and will get away without surgery.

So basically i wos wondering if anyone else has got scoliosis because of other problems and wot....it would be great to hear from people...

Hey and welcome!
I have scoliosis because of a problem too...not paying enough attention to myself. J/k
