View Full Version : Update and Thank you

Hi everyone,

I don't know if you remember me, but I posted on here a few months back asking for some help regarding my kyphosis.
I wanted to give you an update on how things are going.

I followed your advice andsought a referal to a specialist via my GP rather than my chest hospital who were supposed to be referring me but never did. My GP sent me to a local hospital with an orthopedic unit which I visited yesterday.

The dr's and nurses were kindness itself and it was so lovely to have an expert opinion who wasn't trying to sweep this under the carpet as my chest hospital has all these years. He feels my case would benefit from a back brace which he can get made for me, and should help my posture and kyphosis while not hampering my breathing in any way.
He is also going to see me again in 3 months to see how its going.

I am over the moon with this result and feel so much easier to know things will get better not worse with this. It was a double celebration yesterday as I was also placed on the transplant list for double lungs which is a huge weight off my mind! :D

I want to say a HUGE thanks to everyone who replied to me last time i posted, without you I wouldn't be getting this sorted out. Thank you so much. :squeeze: :squeeze:

Hope you're all keeping well,
Tor xxxxx

That's good news!!! Welcome back! By the way, I have scoliosis, Lordosis and Khyphosis. Apparantly my surgeon tried to sort them during my spinal fusion for scoliosis. I can't comment much on Kyphosis/Lordosis as I was only told about them recently and don't know much about them. I believe it is only my scioliosis whuch bothers me.
Welcome Back. PLEASE keep us all updated. Sounds like you are now in a nice stable situation.
C ongratulations with the good news! :D
