View Full Version : Pics of our Vacation

4th August 2006, 09:32 PM
Here are some pics of our vacation at the cottage. Talks are in the works to stay up there for the months of July and August next year. :soapbox: I've already told hubby that I *must* have internet access. Hubby is the *only* one on the beach fully clothed with cap and sunscreen of spf 50 generously applied :D

Ahem...also take note there are *no* huskies or polar bears in sight :-D

very worrying, sea-ice melting, glaciers retreating, locals shedding there furry coats, what is happening to this world..........

(mmmhhh, think you asked for this :spin: :spin: :spin: )

husband looks very chilled (no pun intended), deidre looks fantastic and obviously enjoying her spinecorfree time, it so important to give them that freedom now and again. Where was this. Canada? Or did you go abroad? (I suppose there isn't a lot of "abroad" around when you live in Canada.

Laura had a week with nearly 12 hours/day out of brace, attending a ballet summerschool. Felt a bit "adventurous", but she had such a fantastic time, with lots of positive feedback about her dancing, which in the end hopefully only will increase her motivation to keep going with the "treatment". Also the emphasis on maintaining a good posture (which is essential for ballet) is only going to help her in the long term.

What do mean your image of Canada is slowly shifting ????? :-o You didn't actually believe all those things you were saying did you? :soapbox:

27th August 2006, 12:36 PM
well, do you believe I actually believed........

27th August 2006, 03:43 PM
AHA....I know what you're doing.....you're trying to use the Socratic method to get yourself out of this pickle. It's not going to work :P

27th August 2006, 04:24 PM
now, my twin brother would know everything about the "socratic method", me, on the contrary, haven't got a clue (he's got it all, the looks, the brains.....)

27th August 2006, 05:47 PM
Ahhhh yes....your twin brother :-D :-D :-D I vaguely recall what he looks like - I just have an image of his silhouette imprinted in my brain.

29th August 2006, 07:38 PM
what? Wasn't socrates the guy after plato? What does that have to do with what Sealy thought gerbo believed?

29th August 2006, 07:49 PM

I was trying to get Gerbo to give us a glimpse of his "Greek" twin brother :-D Only a few of us have seen this picture.... well Gerbo ????

I thought it was Socrates who taught his students by answering questions with a question. Am I confusing Plato with Socrates ?

:glee: 8) :-)

31st August 2006, 03:11 PM
I'm just plain confused.

Lets talk about how beautiful Canada is some more! Has anyone else been to Jasper?

31st August 2006, 09:16 PM

I was referring to the statue of David in the above post and NOT the hairy ape :P

Joy, I've never been to Jasper. I would LOVE to go! There are so many places I still want to see.... *sigh*
